Dr. Hafizur Rahman is currently hold the position of Head, Clinical Hematology & Cancer Biology, Laboratory Sciences and Services Division (LSSD) at icddr,b - an International health research organization. Being a physician, he also has special expertise on the management of haematological malignancies like CML and benign haematological conditions like thalassaemias. He was the
founder member and organizing secretary of Dhaka Shishu Hospital Thalassaemia Center and now member of EHA, UK thalassemia Society and International fellow of College of American Pathologist & Royal Society of Medicine. He had many publications in both national and internationally acclaimed journals including American Journal of Tropical Medicine and hygiene, Journal of Health, Population and
Nutrition and BCPS journals. He is active member of Laboratory Management Committee and lead auditor of internal audit committee. Along with research activity, he has experience of supervising masters students. He is the founding member and General Secretary of CML Foundation
Bangladesh which is a charitable and not-for profit humanitarian organization supporting patients & families living with CML and allied diseases in Bangladesh.
