Working as Professor and Head of the department of Haematology, National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital. He was the Chairman of Faculty of haematology, Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. He was the pioneer haematologis in Chittagong Medical College. He established haematology department at NICRH. He is also the president of CML Foundation in Bangladesh and Secretary General of Haematology Society of Bangladesh.

Haematological malignancies: Leukaemia (AML, ALL, CML, CLL), Lymphoma (NHL, Hodgkin's lymphoma), Multiple myeloma, Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS)
Anaemia: All types of nutritional anaemia, Thalassaemia, Autoimmune haemolytic anaemia etc.
Bleeding & Coagulation disorder; ITP, Haemophilia
