Dr. Hasan Shahriar Md. Nuruzzaman (Kallol) has been graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 2003. In 2006 he joined government health service & worked in different government hospitals in both rural & urban setting.
He completed his Post graduate training & course in general Surgery & Trauma surgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital & Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. He is completed FCPS in Surgery from Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS) in 2015. Then he joined as Registrar (Surgery) at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital. He has been promoted as Consultant (Surgery) in 2015.
He has done his Clinical Fellowship in Surgical Oncology from National Cancer Center Singapore (NCCS) in 2016-17 which was fully funded by NCCS. He was under supervision of Adj/A Professor Teo Ching Ching Melissa, Senior consultant & Head, Division of Surgical Oncology He was attached to Advanced Gastro-intestinal, Sarcoma & Pelvic peritoneal malignancy Team where he was trained in complex GI procedures like D2 gastrectomy, Ultra low anterior resection, APR, groin dissection & isolated limb perfusion for melanoma, different sarcomas, Pelvic & peritoneal Malignancy cases, advanced gynaecological oncology cases & CRS HIPEC procedures for colorectal carcinoma, ovarian carcinoma, pseudomyxoma peritonei, malignant mesothelioma, gastric carcinoma.
Later he was attached to the breast oncology team of NCCS under A Prof. Yong Wei Sean, Sr. Consultant, NCCS & Dr Preetha Madhukumar, Sr. Consultant NCCS where he was trained in different benign & malignant breast conditions like Mastectomy & axillary clearance, hook wire guided wide excision of breast cancer, axillary sentinel lymph node biopsy (blue dye/ nuclear med.) mammotome, Oncoplastic procedures like Nipple sparing/ skin sparing mastectomies with immediate reconstruction with flap & prosthesis, LICAP reconstruction.
He has also done advanced training in colorectal surgery at Changi General Hospital in October 2017 & again in February- March 2018.
He has Participated in various courses in Singapore including Colonic metalic stenting workshop, Sarcoma Multi-disciplinary Preceptorship 2017, Peritoneal Surface Malignancy Introductory Course 2017.
He participated in various national & international conferences & workshops on Surgery.
He presented papers at many National & International Surgical & Cancer Conferences.
He has also completed several relevant courses including Certificate course in GI endoscopy, Certifcate course on Basic Laparoscopic Surgery, Basic Life Support (BLS) training, ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) training, Basic Surgical Skill (BSS) training.
